Pickleballs are made from specialized plastics designed for durability and performance — not for standard curbside recycling.
Because of their material, size, and construction:
They can’t be considered clean #2 or #5 plastics
They jam sorting equipment at recycling facilities

How Our Sponsored Recycling Program Works
Our program is free to clubs and powered by brand sponsors who support sustainability in pickleball.
We supply sponsored primary collection bins and courtside bins positioned near courts so players can easily dispose of cracked and worn pickleballs.
Facility staff periodically empty the courtside bins into the primary collection bin. This quick step keeps courts clean and requires minimal staff time.
Eco-Serve Recycling services the primary bin on a scheduled basis and manages all transportation and handling.
Collected pickleballs are processed through approved recycling partners to help divert plastic waste from landfills.
